Artists Now! Guest Lecture Series: Lyndsay Rice
Lyndsay Rice received an MFA from the University of Oregon in 2012 and BFA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2006. She currently heads the Jewelry & Metalsmithing program as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Albert College of Art and Design in Calgary, Canada. Rice recently participated in the Smitten Forum, an invitational residency at Pocosin Arts in North Carolina. This fall, her current works will be in a solo exhibition at Ombre Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. A recent curatorial project called Reliant Objects showed the annual Society of North American Goldsmiths conference in Portland, Oregon, and the Illingworth Kurr Gallery in Calgary, Alberta. Rice’s works have been exhibited around the world, including recent shows like the Democracy of Jewelry at Alberta Craft Council in Calgary, Alberta, and The Amend Project, a digital exhibition organized by Secret Identity Projects.
