Artists Now! Guest Lecture Series: Kynita Stringer-Stanback
Kynita Stringer-Stanback is an Information Activist / Sociology Librarian at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she provides engaging liaison services in collaboration with the BlackStudies/Sociology departments and to students in support of developing their awareness of the complex scholarly information environment. Currently, she is working on producing two chapters about her experience as a BIPOC LGBTQ person in the LIS field. She is also working to self publish a toolkit that helps instructors interrogate their process in thinking about our collective complex history in order to design creative critical and independent thinking learning environments for students.

All 2021-22 lectures will be FREE and offered virtually as pre-recorded events. Series supported in part by the UWM Black and Gold Committee & Differential Tuition funds, Frederick R. Layton Fund, the John Colt Memorial Art Fund, The Queer Curatorial Fund, Print Club, and OBJECT.
