DESCRIPTION:Date & TimeTuesday\, September 15\, 2026 (12:30-5:30 p.m.) \n\n\n\n\n\nLocationArchitecture & Urban Planning Building\, Room 170 \n\n\n\n\n\nA+A+A is a New York based design studio working across North America and Asia. Founded by Andrea\, Arianna\, and Ashely\, the studio designs buildings\, interiors\, exhibitions and experiences that make space for people – emotionally\, culturally\, and physically. \n\n\n\nTheir work is rooted in a deep understanding of architectural design\, public space and the knowledge required to navigate civic processes\, community input and cross-industry collaboration. Whether shaping a home\, curating a public moment\, or developing a brand’s physical presence\, they approach every project with clarity\, curiosity\, and care. \n\n\n\nGuests\n\n\n\n\nArianna Deane\, Assistant Professor\, Parsons School of Design & Partner\, A+A+A\n\n\n\nAshely Kuo\, Partner\, A+A+A\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to giving a lecture about their work\, A+A+A will lead a collaborative drawing workshop that explores ideas of neighborhood dynamics\, public space\, and stakeholder needs. Students will work together on a continuous drawing across a long table—representing a neighborhood—to navigate program\, form\, and edge conditions collaboratively.  \n\n\n\nThroughout the session\, A+A+A will introduce scenario-based prompts that require students to respond to changing conditions\, such as infrastructure needs\, community events\, or conflicts between neighboring sites. Participants will work with those around them to solve problems\, connect projects\, and adapt their designs as the neighborhood evolves. The workshop encourages students to think beyond individual designs and consider how architecture can be shaped by adjacent sites\, public space considerations\, city infrastructure\, and local governance. By the end\, the class will have created a collective drawing that reflects the interconnected nature of designing within a neighborhood. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented as part of a collaboration with the ARCH 311: Design V Studio coordinated by Assistant Professor Aaron Tobey.
