Bio

Rick brings over ten years of experience with regard to cultural resources, historic preservation, archaeological/burial sites, and historic properties. Dr. Edwards has concurrently managed multiple cultural resource projects, averaging approximately 80 per year, including projects for transportation, energy, development, federal, and utilities industries that require compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA, as well as state-level compliance (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and North Dakota). For the utility industry, Edwards has been a primary point of contact and project manager for on-demand cultural resource services for Alliant Energy and Wisconsin Public Service. Dr. Edwards is an expert in Section 106 (NHPA), Wisconsin DNR, FERC, and state historical society procedures (Wisconsin and Illinois) relating to cultural resources.
