Initial Training Requirements can be met as follows:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To meet with the Animal Care Manager for an initial orientation and\/or to attend a facility orientation\/hands-on training, please email acp@uwm.edu.\u00a0 When emailing, please indicate your timeline for needing training.<\/li>\n
  2. To complete the Animal Care Exam, Log into I-Manager<\/a> and complete the xForm “IACUC Animal Care Training and Quiz”.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n
  3. To complete the occupational health risk assessment, complete the IACUC Initial Occupational Health and Safety Health Questionnaire<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. To watch the BioMethodology videos (rodent studies only), log into I-Manager <\/a>and complete the form “IACUC Mammal Biomethodology Videos”<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n
  5. To Complete a CITI course (Fish, Amphibians, and Field Studies only) refer to the following directions. These directions can also be found on your I-Manager dashboard (see below under Training Resources):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Instructions for Completing CITI Animal Care and Use Training<\/p>\n

    1. Visit the training website: citiprogram.org<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. If you are already registered<\/strong> with a different institution or for the UWM Office of Sponsored Programs\u2019 Effort Reporting requirement or Human Subjects Training, you do not need to create a new account. Questions about logging in may be directed to citisupport@med.miami.edu<\/a> or acp@uwm.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    3. If you are not registered<\/strong>, you must register as a New User. Find \u201cUniversity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee\u201d<\/strong> under \u201cParticipating Institutions.\u201d Create a user name and password. IMPORTANT: Passwords are visible to CITI Administrators \u2013 please create your password with this in mind!<\/li>\n
    4. Once logged in, you will be prompted to answer whether you are taking the Office of Sponsored Programs\u2019 Effort Reporting Training, the IRB Human Subjects Training, or the Animal Care and Use. Select the Animal Care and Use.\n
