Why did you choose to attend UWM?:

The combination of education, research and industry engagement (and it’s in Milwaukee!)

What was your favorite class/professor?:

Finite Element Analysis with Dr. Ilya Avdeev

What are some of your fondest memories from being at UWM?:

– Pulling out all of the stops with Mike Krauski and Juli Pickering to make the regional FIRST Robotics Competition happen at UWM (the volunteer crew from ASME built the fields just in time)

– Walk and talks with Khan

– Presenting our final Product Realization project to the sponsor companies (in our case TAPCO)

– Working day and night to prepare our research posters for the big competition

What’s the most important thing you learned at UWM?:

The best results come from diverse thought and interdisciplinary collaboration

How have you stayed connected to UWM since graduation?:

I’ve tried to recruit the best and brightest to Rockwell Automation and have helped CEAS design/build the Rockwell-sponsored Connected Systems Institute
