Note that blueprint courses exist outside of the semester and do not contain students. Content added to a blueprint course is synced to all courses associated with the blueprint course, and content can be locked or unlocked for editing in the associated courses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructors can use a Canvas blueprint course as a template that contains the standardized course content, assignments, structure, and settings for associated courses. Blueprint courses are typically used when a large number of sections of the same course must contain identical content and assignments to maintain consistency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-grid uwm-c-button--grid uwm-l-grid-row--30 uwm-l-grid-column--30 uwm-l-grid--2 uwm-l-grid--equal-y\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/advancing-learning\/about\/contact\/?myNumber=5&amp;reason=New%20Canvas%20Courses%20(Blueprint%20Courses,%20Continuing%20Education%20Courses,%20Sandbox%20Courses,%20Supplemental,%20and%20Training\/Development%20Courses)&amp;course=Blueprint%20Courses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Go to Blueprint Course Request Form<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Combine or Separate Courses<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Once semester courses are automatically created in Canvas, you can use the Combine Courses Form to request that separate Canvas courses be combined into a single Canvas course. All General Assignment and many department-managed classrooms on campus have Kaltura Classroom Capture (UWM&#8217;s lecture capture tool).
