SUMMARY:Strategies for Embedding HIPs Elements into Courses
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\nOur courses are the most equitably accessed place where all students can experience the High Impact Practice Eight Key Elements. These eight elements of quality leverage the “high impact” that increases achievement\, graduation\, retention\, and learning. We will begin with an overview of the HIPs Eight Elements with UWM examples of embedding them in assignments\, activities\, and outcomes. \n\n\n\nWe will break into pairs to practice embedding the Eight Elements into your course assignment. Please be sure to bring or be able to access a course assignment for the exercise. \n\n\n\nWe will close with a brief review of strategies and tools for departments to scale and sustain HIPs in their department and curriculum based on the fall Success Summit Action Plans.
