Dear Colleagues,

I share with you sad news from the School of Continuing Education. Gary J. Topp, Senior Outreach Specialist-Emeritus in the School of Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, passed away on June 21, 2021.

Gary was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and spent his early and teen years there. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a Master of Science in Urban Studies. Gary was a beloved co-worker to many at UW-Milwaukee where he spent his entire career until his retirement in 2009.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 13, at Heritage Suminski Funeral Home, 1901 N. Farewell Avenue in Milwaukee, from 10:30 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Our condolences to Gary’s family and to the many others whose lives he touched.
