I am pleased to announce that Melissa Scanlan has accepted the position of Director of the Center for Water Policy and Lynde B. Uihlein Endowed Chair in UWM’s School of Freshwater Sciences and will begin her new duties on January 8, 2021. Melissa earned a joint JD and Environmental Science, Policy, and Management MS from UC Berkeley and is the founder of Midwest Environmental Advocates. She comes to us from Vermont Law School where she was the Co-founder and Director of the New Economy Law Center. Most recently, she served as a Visiting Law Professor at Boston College School of Law and a U.S. Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Alicante in Spain. Welcome, Melissa!
