Vagina Monologues

vagAn Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone, The Vagina Monologues introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who “like to look at it.”

Every year, the UWM Women’s Resource Center puts on a production of The Vagina Monologues to raise awareness and also to support a local beneficiary (chosen each year by the TVM Team) that’s mission coincides with that of VDay:  to educate millions about the issue of violence against women and the efforts to end it; craft international educational, media, and PSA campaigns; reopen and maintain shelters; and so on.
