Services we provide to UWM students:
- Personal Support: Our staff is available to talk! We offer ongoing support for individuals experiencing stalking, sexual harassment, sexual assault and relationship, dating, or domestic violence.
- Counseling: Walk-in or call 414-229-2852 to schedule.
- Advocacy: We are here to advocate for you! We can assistance with filing restraining orders or submitting complaints of non-academic misconduct and/or criminal conduct
We host six workshops as a part of our VIP (Violence Intervention & Prevention) Series that are offered each semester and “on demand” for student organizations. Topics include: Sexual Assault, Stalking, Sexual Harassment, Relationship Violence, Hate & Bias, and Bystander Intervention.
Every semester we work with campus and community partners to host consciousness raising events such as Denim Day, the Red Flag Campaign, Take Back the Night, and The Vagina Monologues.
We offer Title IX training for student groups and organizations.
We offer consultation and guidance for faculty, staff, student organizations, teams, and departments about providing resources and education to students concerning gender and sexual violence.
The Women’s Resource Center provides opportunities for women students to seek and create leadership opportunities, build long lasting relationships with peers and mentors, and get connected with the campus and the greater Milwaukee community.
