This conversation on the Chronicle of Higher Ed discussion board for deans, chairs and faculty, was reported to us over the weekend. On a thread called “Colleges in Dire Straits,” after several posts about the budget cuts and assault on shared governance in this state, a participant posted:

“It occurs to me that today would be a good day to peruse the lists of faculty at Wisconsin public universities and see if there’s anyone we want.”

To which, another replied:

“Get in line!”
