The Monterey Forum 2017: The Future of Localization Training: Keeping Pace with an Evolving Industry was held at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California on April 1-2. The conference addressed the challenges of training students new to the localization industry and adjusting translation technology curricula to reflect the latest software developments and new trends in the translation industry.

Viktorija Bilić’s presentation entitled “Teaching Translation Technology in the Virtual Classroom” discussed challenges, steps, and strategies of teaching computer-assisted translation and terminology management tools in the online environment.
