Application Process

Applicants to the Certificate program must have completed a baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75. Applications deadlines for fall admission are December 15 (early decision) and April 15 of each year.

  • Reason Statement
    A substantive outline of your research interests, qualifications, and plans for graduate study.
  • Unofficial Transcripts
    Upload unofficial transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate institution attended. If accepted, you will be required to submit official transcripts in order to enroll.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
    We especially welcome letters from instructors and current and past employers.
  • Writing Sample
    We welcome samples from work, school, volunteer projects, and other venues where you have done excellent writing. We also welcome documentation that you created from scratch just for this application. We want to see that you are a clear and effective communicator.
