Joining a Fraternity or Sorority

The process to join depends on the chapter(s) you are most interested in. All groups have different requirements for membership and our groups follow a few different processes. Check out the information below to explore where to start:

Interfraternity Council (IFC) Recruitment

If you are interested in a men’s fraternity and want to learn more about Alpha Epsilon Pi, Alpha Sigma Phi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma Chi, Kappa Sigma, or Triangle Fraternity, check out the Fraternity & Sorority fall showcase sessions. Each chapter will have their fall recruitment schedule available. From there, you decide which groups you would like to know better and how you want to narrow down your options.

Panhellenic Council Sorority Recruitment

For Alpha Omicron Pi, Gamma Phi Beta, and Kappa Tau, fall sorority recruitment is held over a structured weekend of events that culminates with Bid Day. You must be present the entire weekend. Interested women are required to pre-register for sorority recruitment, and participation costs $10. Recruitment will take place in the Student Union September 15th-17th.  Check out the website below for details.

Interested women are also encouraged to participate in Sorority Recruitment Orientation. Two sessions will be available in Fall 2017.

Registration will open in July 2017 and is available at:

NPHC and Multicultural Greek Council Fraternities and Sororities

If you are interested in joining one of the Divine Nine, historically-black Greek-letter organizations, or if you are interested in a fraternity or sorority that has a focus on multicultural membership, please contact the individual chapter to ask about how you can join. If you are unsure where to start, you can fill out the Fraternity and Sorority Interest Form.
