Rachelle is the Director of Customized Training for the School of Continuing Education. In this position, she coordinates customized on-site training programs for organizations, including initial needs analysis, generation of proposals & contracts and logistical planning.
She has a strong background in professional development, curriculum development, training, adult education, vocational training, counseling and career coaching. Rachelle is a Globally Certified Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) with more than 15 years of experience in the field. She enjoys working with individuals and organizations to develop their professional and educational goals.
Starting her career as a case manager for women in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, she soon became the manager of vocation/education services, where she developed the Adult Literacy/GED Program, Job Readiness Curriculum, and the DIVA Closet (featured in Positively Milwaukee on Today's TMJ4 and in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) - providing professional clothes for women returning to the workforce.
Some of her other professional experiences include telephonic assessment and mental health counseling for Symmetry Employee Assistance Program, and more recently she served for five years as a Director of Career Services for a small private college, where she co-facilitated the Professional Development courses. She also had been a career coach for UWM's Career Transition Center for 5 years before serving as the Director of the CTC from 2011-2013.
Rachelle earned a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education & Curriculum Development and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, both from Alverno College. She also is a Globally Certified Career Facilitator through the UW-Madison Center for Education & Work. Rachelle is a member of LERN (an association in continuing education and lifelong learning) and ATD (Association for Talent Development).
