Marcia Gabriel, LEED AP is a program director with the UWM School of Continuing Education (SCE) in the Center for Sustainability and Continuing Engineering Education. Marcia is responsible for developing educational programs focusing on Engineering and sustainability for the School and community, and has extensive experience with corporate training, project management and purchasing. Prior to joining SCE, Marcia spent 11 years working for Hunzinger Construction Company/Sustainable Building Solutions (Brookfield, WI) as the director of Hunzinger Construction University, and served on the Project Management team.

Marcia is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and serves as vice chair of their Education Committee and as the IFMA Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter Sustainability liaison to IFMA National. She is the co-chair of the UWM-SCE Green Team. She is also a member of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), and is a Certified Purchasing Manager. In addition, Marcia is a member of ME3 (Milwaukee's E3 Initiative), a chapter leader of Tostmasters International – Milwaukee’s Bilingual Chapter, the poster chair for the Sustainability Summit of Milwaukee, the director of UWM’s Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) program, a member of the Water Council, a member of Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership (WWHEL), a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), a member of Women of Water (WOW), a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a member of Historic Milwaukee, Inc., and the program co-chair of the Raconteurs Writing Club.

Marcia holds a B.A. in business administration from UWM with emphasis on industrial relations and talent engagement. She received the UWM School of Continuing Education Recognition of Excellence Award in December of 2013, the Toastmasters International (Bilingual Chapter) Competent Communicator award in December 2013, was recognized as a UWM Best Place to Work Champion in September 2013, was awarded IFMA’s Committee of the Year award in June 2013, and was named Green Educator of the Year in 2008 by Wisconsin Builder Magazine.
