Patrick Dean is an award-winning fine art photographer with an emphasis on weddings, portraits, and nature, and he recently photographed the Milwaukee Ballet over a four year period. Since 1980, Dean has specialized in available light and “captured moment” photography in the tradition of Henri Cartier-Bresson. Dean is a veteran of art shows and galleries, and his award-winning fine art photography of nature includes waterfalls, spectacular birds in flight, albino deer in northern Wisconsin forests, winter waterfalls in Michigan, and interpretations of the four seasons. His work has been published in books, magazines, calendars, postcards, and is further represented in homes and private collections all across the country. Recently his work has been seen at the PH Dye Gallery and the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts. He currently spends countless days roadtripping and kayaking quiet northwoods Wisconsin rivers in search of a trusting bald eagle, a wary blue heron, or a captured moment when time, place, and serendipitous light all come together in breathtaking ways.
