Gain an introduction to the history of the papacy – the world’s most visible and significant religious office, and the most distinctive institution of the Catholic Church. Lectures illustrated with PowerPoint emphasize the development of the papacy by focusing on a few of the most significant popes to have occupied the “Chair of Peter” over the past 2,000 years.
