University Community Orchestra

This ensemble invites advanced beginners or skilled amateurs (ages 12 and older) to rehearse and perform together. It is open to anyone who can read music and enjoys playing classical symphonic repertoire. UWM Professor Emeritus Margery Deutsch supervises weekly rehearsals with her conducting staff.

The first night of the session is an organizational meeting that all members must attend. Instruments are not needed on the first night. Music is handed out, and if you are interested in auditioning for a leadership chair, you may sign up for an appointment at this time. Seating audition material is taken from the concert music for the semester, and auditions are held during the second class. You are not required to audition to be in this group.

CONCERT: 3pm, Sunday, Dec 10.

Contact Margery Deutsch at or 414-229-4609 as soon as possible  with the instrument you play and what part you prefer (e.g. violin 2, flute 1, viola).
