Plastic Part Failure Analysis

Look at failures in plastic products and their prevention from the standpoint of the fundamentals of part design, mold design, material selection, processing, and product testing and validation. Discuss the importance of each of these areas. Review the tools used to conduct failure analysis with an emphasis on practical application and a standard approach to methodology. Case studies are provided as illustrations of how these principles and tools are applied.

This course can be applied to the Plastics Technology Certificate.
