Janesville Rotary Gardens & Lincoln-Tallman House
Bask in the beauty of Janesville Rotary Gardens’ 20 acres on a guided walking tour. See dramatic, formal gardens in Japanese, English Cottage, Italian, Scottish and French Formal styles, as well as Prairie, Shade, Woodland, and Fern and Moss gardens. After lunch on the terrace, travel to the Lincoln-Tallman House, Janesville’s most iconic historical structure. Built in 1855, the six story mansion includes 75% of its original furnishings, making it one of the most complete historic homes in the Midwest. See the bed that Abraham Lincoln slept in during his visit in 1859. Complete the day with a visit to the Helen Jeffris Museum, featuring china, pottery and Parker Pen memorabilia.
