EMDR Basic Training Part I
Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a complex approach to psychotherapy that accelerates many treatments of past traumatic and present life events. EMDR has been tested with patients who survived a range of events including sexual assault or molestation, combat service, a crime, accident, violence or disaster. Through lecture, live and videotaped demonstrations and supervised practice, learn standards from trained instructors with the EMDR Institute. The training is sanctioned and involves completion of two modules. This UWM sponsored training delivered by EMDRI is the only program nationally that allows graduate students admittance. Part I must be completed at least three months before Part II.
