Creating a Trauma-Sensitive School 3: Individual Strategies
This session increases your knowledge of child development under traumatic circumstances as well as reviews and explores assessment instruments and diagnoses of traumatic impacts for children.

- Increase teacher understanding of the impact of trauma on child development and learning
- Introduce strategies to address behavior and learning issues related to the intrusive, avoidant and hyperarousal response of traumatized children
- Review assessment instruments to assist in determining the impact of trauma on the child
- Explore new diagnoses under field trial for DSM-V such as Developmental Trauma Disorder and PTSD in Infants and Pre-School Children relative to special educational needs
