Damian Rozkuszka

Graduate/2015

The changing of the seasons radically affects our lives and is one of the most fundamental ways we experience the world around us. Architecture has the unique ability to connect us further with this change, enhancing the experience. The goal of this thesis is to push the normally subtle change ritual to the extreme by designing architecture that responds radically. the project brings to Chicago’s shoreline a new seasonal ritual that transforms its coastline. The celebratory transformation will be an incredible event that takes place at the seasonal transition points ritualizing the unfolding and reclaiming of the architecture.
