The Turret Winery creates a vertical experience through its visibility above the tree tops. The solar updraft towers peek out through the trees. When approaching the winery from the road, you are blanketed by trees masking the winery. Upon entering the parking lot, the winery is revealed. From the top of the winery you enter the lobby which is adjacent to the crush deck. The tasting room uses hydronics to cool the warm air rolling in from the field. Other thermal elements include chilled steel columns, terra-cotta warming panels, and a chilled column bottle vault.
