Teachers and guidance counselors, we offer a number of ways to introduce your students to architecture careers and education. Contact Erica Chappelear for any of the options listed below, and of course, please refer students who would like to visit for a day, participate in summer camp, or take an online class to our high school programs page.

Hands-on Classroom Presentations

Give your students a new perspective and a creative boost. During our time together we will discuss famous architects, design processes, and careers in architecture and related fields. Then we’ll get busy building, presenting, and critiquing our work. Finally, we’ll talk just for a few moments about being responsible students and exploring college options.

Class Trip to the School of Architecture & Urban Planning

Your class is invited to come for a half or whole day and create something fun while in our building. Your students will meet faculty and current students and learn more about technology and architecture studios. Full campus tours can be arranged, time permitting.

Your School’s College/Career Fair

Yes, we’re happy to come talk about the various careers of architecture! Please contact Erica Chappelear as soon as dates for your event are known since our outreach calendar fills quickly.

Skype!

If you’re a significant distance from the school, we’d still love to connect. Check out what this teacher from Minnesota said about our Skype meeting.

“Finding energetic, competent, knowledgeable career speakers for high school students can be a challenge. Erica Chappelear was all of these things and more! And even though I’m in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and she’s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was able to provide interesting, relevant, timely information to my students (via Skype). We would ask her back to speak about architecture in a heartbeat.”
