Krisann Rehbein will talking about strategies for engaging the community in the design of the built environment.

Bio

Krisann Rehbein is a design educator, advocate, and writer. She spent over a decade at the Chicago Architecture Foundation, where she worked with students from across Chicago Public Schools, co-wrote an architecture text for high schools, empowered community leaders to showcase their neighborhoods, and created city-wide programs to elevate the public dialogue about architecture and design. Prior to coming to CAF, she spent several years as a grassroots organizer in Chicago, New York, and Pittsburgh. She has degrees in sociology from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Chicago. She lives in Milwaukee with her family where she has a consulting practice called The Building City Lab. She’s currently working with the City of Milwaukee’s Department of City Development Commercial Corridor program on strategies for community engagement and is on the Board of Trustees for Historic Milwaukee, Inc.
