PUPS is a summer and after-school educational program for Milwaukee’s urban youth sponsored by the Urban Planning Department. Students who sign up for the program learn about careers in urban planning by getting directly involved in urban planning concepts and neighborhood problem-solving activities.

Students make maps, go on field trips to places in Milwaukee where planners’ ideas have been built, re-design their own neighborhoods, and participate in lots of other hands on experiences. Students are immersed in the life of cities and how planners make cities that work.
