Bio

Currently co-partner of Ware Architecture with built work in both Milwaukee and Chicago, Karl Wallick’s research focuses on tectonics and detail. Prior to teaching, he directed several projects for the research team at KieranTimberlake Associates in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania including the SmartWrap exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum and the publication of reFabricating Architecture. Additional project design experience includes work on several large institutional projects for clients such as Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, and the LEED platinum Sidwell Friends School. Projects designed while a founding partner of Drawing Dept include the Sushi Bar, County Line Barn, and Forge Lumber. He is a professionally registered architect, LEED accredited professional and speaker at academic conferences across the nation and Europe. In addition to publications in academic journals, his books on the practice of KieranTimberlake were published by Princeton Architectural Press and Rizzoli.
