UrbPlan 721 Applied Planning Methods

Planners collect, analyze, understand, and present data to help inform long-term community decisions. This course familiarizes students with analytical methods that are often used in the planning field.
Broadly, the course is organized into five main parts:
1) understanding and interpreting data from articles and reports,
2) gathering data from existing sources,
3) collecting primary data in the field,
4) analyzing data, and
5) presenting results.
