The Roberto Hernández Center is committed to supporting Latino student success at UWM. Our experience in serving Latino students has proven that more often than not, Latino students are also full-time workers, heads of households and parents. In response to the unique needs of our students, the RHC has established the Latino Student Fund, a unique source of emergency funding for currently enrolled Latino students facing unexpected expenses that affect their continued pursuit of an undergraduate degree. The overall goal of the Latino Student Fund is to increase the number of Latinos successfully graduating from the university.
How to Apply
Apply for an Emergency Grant or Scholarship (UWM Students Only) Funds for these scholarships are based on the interest generated by the scholarship endowment. At the current level of the endowment, only two, perhaps three, $500.00 scholarships will be available per year [as the endowment is increased, then more will be available] and when these funds are available, we will post notice here.
Click on the following links to learn more about applying:
• W-9 Form (use this form ONLY if you are a recipient of RHC Emergency Grant)
• Submit electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop off in Bolton 183.
