Intern in Britain

The US-UK Fulbright Commission in London is now seeking applicants for our internship programme for spring 2018.

This opportunity is a great fit for:

1. Study abroad students seeking to gain work experience alongside their studies in the UK (Student must be on a Tier 4 Student Visa.)

2. Recent graduates eligible to travel on the BUNAC Intern in Britain programme (Tier 5 visa, up to 6 months) For more information, see: http://www.bunac.org/usa/interninbritain/eligibility.aspx

Interns join a small, but dynamic and highly-motivated team of staff. We try to ensure interns have a 50-50 balance between our day-to-day work and special projects they take ownership over.

Applications are welcome from a variety of fields.  However, we tend to find most applicants come from international relations, marketing, communications, political science, international/higher education, student affairs, education or non-profit backgrounds.

Internships are unpaid and may be offered full-time or on a part-time basis around students’ class schedules. Internships may vary from one to six months in length. We will begin reviewing applications immediately on a rolling basis. To apply, students may email a CV and covering letter to intern@fulbright.org.uk, with the subject line “Awards Internship” or “Advising Internship”.

Internships are a great fit for UK students who have had study experience in the US, American study abroad students seeking to maximize their time in London, or for recent graduates able to come to the UK on BUNAC’s Intern in Britain programme.  Please note applicants must demonstrate the legal right to work in the UK, most commonly via a Tier 4 Student Visa or Tier 5 for BUNAC.  For more information, see: http://www.bunac.org/usa/interninbritain/eligibility.aspx

In previous years, interns have come from international relations, marketing, communications, political science, international/higher education, student affairs, education or non-profit backgrounds.  However, we welcome applicants from all fields and are looking for students with a keen interest in our work.
