Psi Chi is a national undergraduate honor society in Psychology and for forty years, the UWM chapter has nurtured and promoted excellence in psychology through a variety of programs and activities, which range from serving the community to initiatives in the public understanding of psychology.
Psi Chi provides many opportunities for student fellowship, academic support and an increased understanding of the field of psychology. Eligible undergraduates must:
- Register for a major or minor standing in psychology (or for a program psychological in nature).
- Complete 3 semesters.
- Complete 9 credits of psychology courses.
- Rank in the top 35% of one’s class in general scholarship with a minimum GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) in both psychology classes and in cumulative grades.

Once you have submitted your application online, deliver an envelope addressed to Dr. Kristin Smith, Psi Chi Advisor containing a copy of your transcripts with a $60 check payable to UWM Psi Chi to the psychology department (Garland 224). Once your application materials have been reviewed, you will receive an email confirmation of your membership and information about forthcoming Psi Chi events.
