Behavior Analysis

Behavior Analysis is an area of psychology that focuses on environmental influences on behavior. The curriculum at UWM spans the basic and applied continuum within behavior analysis. Students are admitted into a junior-colleague training model in which they receive close mentorship with their major professor to develop specialization including early autism intervention and the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders. Our Master’s and Ph.D programs include a course sequence approved by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) and our program was recently recognized within the top 10 research productive graduate training programs for behavior analysts in the world.
