Three Political Science students won awards at the Fantastic Flyers Mock Trial Tournament held at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois in November 2014. UWM’s team was up against 19 other teams from around the Midwest. Senior Susan Deal and junior Ashely Monti won Outstanding Witness Awards. Deal is a non-traditional student who has served as a Marine and balances college with family life that includes two young sons, and Monti is a double major in conservation and environmental science. Freshman Mikayla Ness won an Outstanding Attorney Award in her very first intercollegiate competition.
