Distinguished Professor Uk Heo was recently given an award by South Korea’s Minister of Education for his research contribution to Korean Studies. While Professor Heo has been a frequent contributor to the Korean studies literature, this award singles out his recent book South Korea’s Rise: Economic Development, Power, and Foreign Relations (co-authored with Terrence Roehrig, published by Cambridge University Press) as particularly noteworthy.
