The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that took place within minutes of each other on the east side in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 16. The first happened at approximately 2:00 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Cramer Avenue (two blocks south of campus, between East Linnwood Avenue and East Locust Street). The second, occurred at approximately 2:05 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Frederick Avenue (One blocks south of campus, where East Linnwood Avenue and North Frederick Avenue intersect).
In both robberies 3 to 5 suspects approached the victims and demanded money and valuables. Suspects displayed handguns when the robberies occurred. No injuries occurred during the robberies and some of the property has been recovered and returned. One of the suspects in the robberies has been taken into custody so far.

Suspect 1: Black Male 18-20 YOA // Pulled back hair in the middle with dreads on both sides // Armed with a black semi-automatic handgun
Suspect 2: Balck Male 18-20 YOA // Short hair // Wearing a Blue/Black varsity style letter jacket
