The Student Success Center connects UW-Milwaukee students to peers, faculty, staff and resources throughout our campus community to support the personal and academic success of each student. We provide students a variety of academic and support services to empower them to achieve and succeed.


What is the Student Success Center?

The Student Success Center should be your first stop on campus if you have a question. Our staff are trained to answer a variety of questions and to get you where you need to go. We know UWM can be a big place, let us help you navigate it!

We provide variety of academic and support services to Peer Mentoring, Supplemental Instruction, Tutoring, Success Coaching, and Academic Skill Development.

Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction

Tutoring/SI services provides UW-Milwaukee undergraduate students with a variety of academic support services to empower them to learn, achieve, and succeed in college. Our services include Supplemental Instruction, Small Group Tutoring, Drop-In Tutoring, and Academic Skills Tutoring.

Peer Mentoring


Peer Mentors serve in paid positions focused on supporting the success of first-year students. Peer Mentors guide students towards resources on campus that fit their needs and address academic, social, extracurricular, and professional topics with their students.

First-Year Forward
