Senior Excellence in Research Awards Colloquium

The first Senior Excellence in Research Awards Colloquium will be held Friday, May 12, from 4-6pm in the Kenwood IRC 1130.  This event will feature fifteen minute presentations from our four recipients of the 2016-17 Senior Excellence in Research Award, as follows (and in this order):

Lianna Hawi, “Muscle Activity during Geared and Manual Wheelchair Mobility,” mentored by Brooke Slavens, Biomedical Engineering.

Marijam Frahmand, “Associations between Genetic Risk for Alzheimer’s Disease and Hippocampus-Dependent Memory and Learning in Healthy, Middle-Aged Adults,” mentored by Ira Driscoll, Psychology.

Christopher Spiewak, “Robotics-Based Assistive Device for Hand Rehabilitation,” mentored by Mohammad H. Rahman, Mechanical Engineering.

Anne Barlas, “Metal Coated Porous Material for Phosphorous Removal from Water,” mentored by Marcia Silva, Freshwater Science.

The students will be presenting outcomes from the research projects they have been involved with during this academic year.  Coffee and dessert will be served.
