UWM Undergraduate Research Travel Grant Application
There is no due date; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Undergraduate Research Travel Awards are available for students to help offset the costs of traveling to present their research activity at local and national conferences. The maximum award for domestic travel is $400, which may go toward airfare, hotel accommodations, meals (within state allowances), and/or conference registration fees. These funds are intended for students who have already been substantially engaged in faculty-directed undergraduate research.
Student, please follow the link below to the Student Research Travel Grant Application. The completed application should be saved as Travel_App-lastname and emailed to Sarah Keepman at email@example.com. Please also provide the link to this webpage to your faculty advisor, so he or she can fill out the Faculty Justification Form below.
Faculty, please follow the link below to complete the Faculty Recommendation/Justification form for your students travel. The completed form should be saved as Rec_studentlastname, and emailed to Sarah Keepman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Overseas Undergraduate Research Awards

The Center for International Education and the Office of Undergraduate Research award travel funding to faculty and academic staff to support overseas field research experiences for undergraduates. Faculty apply on behalf of the student(s) they wish to supervise (students do not apply directly). Applications are currently being accepted for overseas research projects planned for Spring and Summer 2018. The announcement on the CIE website includes application instructions; the due date for the current round of funding is January 31, 2018.
