Kirill Shmilovich, a senior Physics major, coauthored “Study of Biomechanical Properties of Protein-based Hydrogels Using a Force-Clamp Rheometry,” published in the journal Macromolecules. Kirill, one of our Senior Excellence in Research Awardees, works in the Lab for Advanced Biopolymers and Nanomechanics of Proteins with Professor Ionel Popa. He was also recently selected represent Wisconsin at the Council on Undergraduate Research Posters on the Hill event in Washington DC, where he will share his work with legislators and advocate for undergraduate research.
