Collaborative research can be challenging—finding collaborators, overcoming differences in disciplines and methods, and managing multiple researchers. To help researchers better deal with the challenges of collaborative research and develop robust, long-term research collaborations, the UWM Office of Research is sponsoring a multi-year effort to help researchers become more effective at building and sustaining research teams doing transformative multidisciplinary research. These efforts include the Collaborative Research Team Development Grants, workshops and other collaboration activities, and resources on effective collaboration and team-building.
