Where bibliophiles can find piles of books

The annual Golda Meir Library Used Book Sale will be April 17-20.

The sale will be stocked with more than 5,000 gently used books in both fiction and non-fiction. Prices of most items range from 25 cents to $3.

“There’s always something interesting, something for everyone,” said Vince Ciatti, a library services assistant.

Purchases must be made with cash or check. The proceeds will benefit UWM Libraries.BOOKSALE_b

The sale begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, but it is open only to Friends of the Golda Meir Library for the first two hours. Registration for membership to the Friends of Golda Meir will be available at the door.

Starting at 4 p.m. Sunday, the sale opens to the public, and will remain so until Wednesday, April 20.

Here is the schedule:
2 – 6 p.m., Sunday
10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday and Tuesday.
10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Wednesday. A bag of books will cost $5.
