Description: Showy and yellow lady’s-slippers, ladies’ tresses and fringed orchids are just a few of the many rarities native to the Cedarburg Bog and Washington and Ozaukee Counties in general. Join Kate Redmond and botanist Melissa Curran as they highlight the status of our local wild orchids, share with us the complex natural life history of these marvels, and present exciting new scientific developments pertaining to the restoration of temperate zone orchids. This event will be at Riveredge Nature Center. Space is limited and pre-registration is requested.
