“Saturday Night Live” star Leslie Jones will be the headliner for this year’s Comedy Bash, sponsored by UWM’s Campus Activities Board.
The show will be at 7 p.m. April 26 at the Miller High Life Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Ave.
Jones was hired as a writer for “Saturday Night Live” in 2014, but quickly attracted attention with her brash and hilarious appearances on the show. She officially joined the cast full-time the next year.
She scored a starring gig in movies in the all-female 2016 reboot of “Ghostbusters,” where she played alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon.
Jones maintains a career as a standup comedian, with a boisterous presence on Twitter. She’s also a huge fan of the Olympics, drawing attention with her over-the-top fandom.
Students can pick up a free ticket at the Student Union Information Desk starting on Monday, April 9. They can buy up to two additional tickets for $20 each.
Faculty, staff and alumni can purchase two tickets for $20 each. UWM ID is required.
Previous Comedy Bashes featured Nick Offerman and Trevor Noah.
