Leadership development program offered

The Department of Human Resources is pleased to offer employees of UWM a professional development opportunity with a focus on leadership development.  The program, “Leading Self, Others and Organizations,” is patterned after the excellent leadership development program in the Division of Student Affairs, and we are most grateful to the division for their willingness to let all divisions of UWM benefit from their great work in developing leadership programming.

“Leading Self, Others and Organizations” is offered as a series of development opportunities. Courses include:

Program Recognition Event

June 7, 9–11:30 a.m., UWM Golda Meir Library, 4th Floor Conference Room

Participants will benefit from a comprehensive assessment tool that will provide them with an understanding of their skills and competencies.  All programming, tools, resources and lunches and other refreshments are free of charge.

Courses are led by professionals who are subject-matter experts.  The instructional coordinator is Patricia Clason, a highly acclaimed leadership expert and professional speaker.  Other facilitators are experienced, nationally renowned in their areas and selected because of their expertise.

To enroll in “Leading Self, Others and Organizations,” please complete and submit the program application by Dec. 16. Participants must be able to commit to attending all sessions.  Applications will be reviewed and a cohort of 21 participants will be selected.  Preference will be given to current supervisors, but individuals who are not supervisors are encouraged to apply and may be selected for participation.
