Introduction to research programming

Learn about a variety of computer coding languages and how to write fast, portable and maintainable code. This three-day computer programming course will be held in the Engineering and Mathematic Sciences building, room E256 on Aug. 21, 23 and 25 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This course will help researchers minimize program run time. Participants will learn to develop simple programs, optimize programs for speed and avoid costly pitfalls.

Before taking this course, participants should have taken the Introduction to Research Computing course.

Space in limited, so register in advance. Participants should bring their laptops to the workshop, if possible.
