Drupal Site Building and Project Planning is focus of UWM workshop Jan. 25

“Introduction to Drupal Site Building and Project Planning” is the topic of a full-day workshop hosted by the Center for Technology Innovation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business. The workshop is on Friday, Jan. 25, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Lubar School of Business, 3202 N. Maryland Ave.

Drupal is an open-source content management system that provides a user-friendly interface for content editors and site builders. Workshop leader Dani Nordin will provide an introduction to creating dynamic websites using Drupal. Attendees will gain an understanding of which projects are served best by Drupal, how to set up an initial Drupal install and perform key site building and configuration tasks, and be able to plan a Drupal project.

Dani Nordin is a UX designer and strategist based in the Boston area. Her studio, the zen kitchen, helps Drupal teams strategize, plan and architect complex Drupal implementations from a user-centered perspective. Nordin regularly speaks and teaches workshops on a variety of topics related to user-centered design, Drupal, and Web design. She was a contributor to “The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7” (Apress, 2011) and is the author of “Drupal for Designers” (O’Reilly, 2012).
